So Summer’s here then! Flowers are out, festivals season has begun and its raining and cold!! Well – we did have a glimpse of summer in April though didn’t we!

Flux ’n’ Flame has been a hive of creative activity so far this year – with the weekly classes buzzing and the weekend courses filling up for the year we think everyone has got that sparkly making vibe!! We are always updating the Flux ‘n’ Flame facebook page with new jewellery created on the courses and there are some absolutely fantastic pieces being made!!

In May we hosted ‘Debut 3’ – and it was amazing!! We had so many visitors over the course of the weekend with lots of jewellery sold and lots of commissions taken! Everyone worked really hard to make it a fantastic weekend…so much fun! Roll on next year!!!

We have all sorts of new and exciting courses happening later this year - We have managed to persuade Clare Johns to come and teach her resin course with us in November which should be amazing – a great way to add a bit of colour to your silver.
Liz Guilmant- Cush is returning with 1 and 2 day Lamp-work bead making courses, and Sally is back after her maternity leave and is running her ever popular beginners enamelling courses too!!
Our 1 day traditional jewellery courses have been slightly re-structured and are being taken by Heidi Dawson..the latest member of the Flux ‘n’ Flame team! We are now aiming the 1 day courses primarily at complete beginners, to give them a taste of our world!!!!
We may also have some more surprises in the way of courses later this year….watch this space!!

Al has been busily building benches and workshops for people and has created a new section of his website devoted to Reggie and Colin…check it out at www.ruby-and-al.com
Ruby & Al jewellery is once again being featured in the next issue of Jewellery focus magazine in an article about mens jewellery.Next job??? …..something uber exciting at Luccombe Farm!!! …watch this space!!!
